We deliver a Kindness team building workshop and host a free support group for budding social entrepreneurs
Kindness Workshop for Adults
Would you like to work in an environment where people are kind and considerate towards each other?
Too often we live and work in a stressful and competitive environment which can impact on supportive communication with colleagues, friends and neighbours. It can also impact on productivity in the longer term as energy gets misplaced into negative relationships rather than creative and solution focused outcomes.
Lack of kindness in a workplace can rapidly lead to compassion fatigue (stage before burnout). In health and social care organisations high levels of compassion fatigue have been linked to tragic deaths (Mid Staffordshire Report).
Come and spend half a day with us in the great outdoors in a wild area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Isle of Wight. Doesn't matter about the weather - that is part of the experience. As Billy Connolly once said - there is no wrong weather just the wrong clothes.
Being outside in nature is known to have a positive effect on mood, a reduction in stress and improved performance. Plus we bring in added factors that involve fun and creative activities.
You will spend half a day getting back in touch with your inner wild child and connecting with your work colleague's on a different level. Being kind to each other has been an important part of our survival strategy over thousands of years. This may now be an important factor in the surviving and thriving of your team.
We will go on a quest to discover a secret cave full of carvings hidden from view in a cliff face. These cave walls contain many secrets. The walls are full of carvings left behind by those now long gone from this earth. This cave was used by smugglers in the past where each had a role that protected their interests - like the look out. Who plays the role of look out in your team? How can you protect your team members? What mark would you like to leave behind?
Participants process their role and achievements and translate this to the work place. They do this through the development of personal insights, a focus on solutions, consideration of ways of working collaboratively, promotion of lateral thinking, and enhanced acts of kindness.
Cost for 10 people is £250 - that's just £25 per person invested in your team - you know they are worth it.
To promote this workshop we ran a competition for a free workshop. We are delighted to announce the winning team is a nursing home on the Isle of Wight managed by Sally-ann Jolliffe. Sally-ann entered her team as she wanted to show her appreciation of the work they do by giving them a special day out together. We look forward to working with you on that Sally-ann.
Fees charged for team building days go towards supporting our programmes.

We run a free creative mentoring and support programme for those interested in setting up a social enterprise. We use many of the same techniques we use in our adult nature programme which is aimed at developing self insights, lateral thinking and solutions.
Monthly support meetings are advertised via our Facebook page and Eventbrite and dates included in our Events section.
Workshops are held at Aspire in Ryde on the Isle of Wight as part of our collaborative work with this vibrant community based social enterprise.
