The PTSD support group organise Nature Quests that take place on the Isle of Wight. The Quests are run by volunteers who first attended support group and then went on to gain a Sports Leaders UK accredited Expedition Leader qualification through Nature Therapy CIC amongst other qualifications and onward training.
The quests are free of charge. They are open to anyone who thinks they might benefit from some additional support. We don’t ask you any questions about your PTSD or trauma you have experienced. Quests are not just nice days out in nature - they are called Quests because they are voyages of self discovery. They are designed to help you understand your own way of being. They will help you find your power in moving towards your own recovery.
We try to seek funding each year for those members of our PTSD support group who would like to take on further nationally accredited training and qualifications such as the Sports Leaders UK Expedition Leaders course or a qualification in Applied Therapeutic Skills .
We are currently uploading all our forthcoming workshops and quests into a new system to make it easier for you to see what you would like to take part in.
