Equine Assisted Therapy
Equine assisted therapy offers a journey into self-insights that reveals each person’s unique patterns of behaviour.
The research shows that structured sensory contact with horses can build self-esteem, help improve anxiety disorders, enhance communication between couples and family members, increase social skills and networking as well as improve confidence and sense of self-worth. There is evidence to suggest that insights can be so powerful that only one session can be immensely beneficial.. |
Who we are
|
The sessions are facilitated by Dr Kim Brown who was a therapist in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and spent five years researching equine assisted therapy. She has travelled across the United States, Europe and the UK in a quest to understand the many ways involving horses in enhancing human wellbeing.

What you do
|
You do not need any prior knowledge of horses or donkeys as there is no riding involved. It is all about how you interact with the animals and about having fun whilst learning more about yourself or other family members.
All you need to do is turn up with some sturdy boots to protect your feet. If you are a bit fearful - we will work alongside you to help you with this. Let us know in advance if you have any allergies or medical conditions. |
