Post Trauma Growth

After ten years of delivering our highly renowned group programme, Wolf Medicine, we are now offering one to one sessions with Dr Kim Brown.

Kim was the first person in the UK to involve wolves and horses in somatic therapy.

Trauma is stored at a cellular level in our bodies and somatic therapies use the brain body connection to help release the trauma.

The sessions on offer are aimed at building mental, emotional and spiritual growth following trauma.

It is not about denying the pain and challenges from a trauma but focusing on the strength and  transformational growth that can occur following adversity.

The sessions are for anyone who feels in need of additional strength and resilience for whatever reason
.

Kim will  walk alongside you for part of your growth journey  offering guidance, support and insight into your own way of being as you move towards self healing.

The aim is for you to find your own power by connecting with the wilder and often hidden parts of  your inner landscape.

Chose from a variety of somatic activities such as mindfulness, forest bathing, art, dancing with horses,  dowsing, drumming, medicine of the wheel and labyrinths.

We offer a visit to real wolves in a group setting several times a year.

The Island Herb Garden

In 2023 we started work on a new project to establish a community Herb Garden to help raise awareness of the importance of plants on our wellbeing

Newport Parish Council provided us with an allotment on the outskirts of Pan Community Park and our lovely volunteers have been busy clearing the area.

We are currently fundraising to purchase resources such as a shed, raised beds and items we need to run free workshops and provide volunteer opportunities.

The intent is for more people to  come together to further our knowledge about native herbs, herbs in general and herbal remedies.

Like our Face book page - The Island Herb Garden - to keep up with  future development
