'We all appreciated the space you created, the obvious thought which you had put into the activities and the excellent facilitation skills of your volunteers. That was one of the first occasions where my son has engaged with strangers quite so readily. We were pleasantly surprised by the activities that he engaged in- allowing his hands to get mucky with the marshmallow and touching the gloop. What I say next probably won't surprise you but it did me. The relaxing effects of the morning seemed to travel with him , we went to a birthday party which is often very tricky but he went off and played rather than hanging on to me. We then had to go to another social engagement which he managed with much more ease than normal . This has made both of us think about how to include more sensory stuff everyday as the effects were so positive. Thanks to all your volunteers we had a wonderful day'
